Stacks Quarterly

While in college at VCU, I came up with the concept for Stacks Quarterly, a magazine that showcased people and their unusual collections. This limited edition, high production value magazine would be produced 4 times a year and only available in certain cities, making it a bit of a collection in itself.

The covers would explore different types of printing such as silkscreen, letter press, or risograph, to make the magazine beautiful and more "book-like".

I produced a prototype of the magazine and some images are shown below.

Although I have not started production on this concept, I do hope to in the future. I would like to start this project as a zine and eventually move to a high production value publication.

Thanks to friend, Corey Piehowicz, for providing me with the photographs for the "Mining for Denim" collection.
